Handle With Care.....

Hello Everyone,

I'm writing this blog to address my dancing at the Superbowl Pool Party. I'm not going to pass blame on anyone but myself. What you saw on that video is not an accurate portrayal or description of Royce. Although a lot of you don't think it was THAT BAD or say that I was JUST HAVING FUN, I DO feel I took it too far. After having a few drinks and enjoying a great time I was encouraged to participate in the contest. I look at that video and to be honest I wish someone would've YOKED me off the stage lol. I wasnt smoking or doing drugs so I've learned to accept it for what it was. It's not something I'm proud of but Im also not going to pity myself and say Im embarrassed or ashamed because I'm not. I DID IT! I OWN IT! IT WAS ME! I'm a company owner, a friend and most importantly a MOM, a daughter and a sister. I don't like the way I looked on the video at all and im not going to CONTINUE to act like Im ok with it. So much has been written about me in the past that has been untrue and I feel like this incident has given people something tangible to hold against me. I am human therefore I'm not perfect and I do make mistakes. This was a mistake that I wont repeat. Throw the rock, hide your hand...I still got hit! I'm still a project God is working on. I have a LONG way to go. I'm still strong and I'm still standing!

I applaud you for addressing the situation but to be honesty with you know one has the right to judge you. Hell girl you're a great dancer nothing was wrong with you dancing in that video. The people who are talking about wish they could dance like that. Shoot i wish I could dance like that..lol But in my opinion you're a great person & mother =) So keep your head up & keep doing you boo =) Be Blessed!

I am so proud of you and for taking ownership of your actions. That was VERY big, responsible, mature, and adult of you. As Steve Harvey says, "Don't trip, He ain't through with me yet." We all make mistakes and the best thing we can do is grow from them! I love you and am so very proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!

--your overly opinionated cousin and fellow mama in crime, mufyn-lololol!

You took ownership of your mistake and now it's time for people to move on. Personally, when I saw it, I wanted to learn some of those moves! LOL.

But, I do understand your concern about the portrayal it gave off. All the best to you and just keep striving ahead while others whisper.

It takes a big woman to admit when she's done something that she's not 100% proud of, and it takes a coward to take her ownership of her actions and try to make a blog post out of it (bossip). I mean seriously, they're acting like you said "yeah I did and all little girls should do the same"...My gosh what more do they want you to do? I don't care if you were up there half naked, that has nothing to do with your ability to raise your son or anything else. UGH I'm so annoyed and it wasn't even me. I don't hear anyone saying anything about the girl who was up there with you and she had on a thong bikini for crying out loud. I’m about to go before I write a whole book, but people can be so judgmental. Keep doing what you're doing, if all they have on you is you werking it at a pool party then I say you're doing quite well!

It was good dancing done in good nature for fun. If anyone took it out of context they should evaluate themselves before going after you! I enjoyed the video and you're a beautiful woman, but that was simply a form of expressive artistry. You don't have a thing to appologize for to anybody!

This is one the most sincere, maturest and insightful personal statements I've ever read online.

I watched the show where you danced and loved seeing you work it, girl. So did my 60-year-old mother. You're the only BBW whose spirit is worth her remembering the name of. ;-)

There are people on that show who try to hate on you. You can see thru that, can't you?! That's why all 3 stuck-ups were mocking your dancing: They all been practicing it behind closed doors, secretly trying to up their cute & sexy to your level. lol It'll never work. There's only one Royce - go far!

You know what, Royce... as a woman who's both a mother and a die hard dancer in her heart I feel where you're coming from and I kinda can't hate you for it. I mean, in hindsight yeah it probably wasn't a good look, but you're a DANCER. And people who are dancers understand it... booze + a beat = dance moves a video vixen would envy. I ain't mad at you, girl. And the women who are, are just mad because they can't even do moves like that in the privacy of their own home, let alone with an audience, LOL.

Hi Royce, I watch the show and your dancing, you don't owe anybody anything or an apology. You don't even need to give all the detail about your life, let the ignorant people judge! they will always be your haters no matter how much good you do in the world. You are a genuine nice person and I applaud you for it. Yes the dancing is much, but that's what you studied, acting and dancing..the arts. Hey you went to college, how may of these bloggers can say that? I would just say dance in the right environment as your profession that's all. You are real and I wish they had more girlfriends like you. Nothing to cry about, you are a successful black sister. They are just jealous. Stay true to yourself. Cas
